“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22)
“DWELL IN CHRIST”
Yes, it is a mystery to me that in Christ I am the temple of God and His Spirit indeed DWELLS within me! Yet I know it is so, not only through his Word, but also by the peace and contentment, the sense of well being, and enablement that is present when I truly abide in Him. Knowing that I am counted as a member of His family and household gives me great joy and anticipation that I will be with Him trill ions of years when he finally calls me home… not by anything I did, only believe…. but by the choice Jesus made to be obedient to the Father and take all my sins upon himself.
God is here within us even when we are wholly unaware of it….waiting for our response to His presence. He is manifest only when and as spiritual awareness comes. One vital quality needed is spiritual receptivity, the difference that sets one apart. In other words, when we feel an inward longing, do something about it! Purposely cultivate it until it is the biggest thing in our lives! When we cooperate with Him in loving obedience, God WILL manifest Himself to us... and that manifestation will be the difference between a nominal Christian life and a life radiant with the light of His face.
That radiance is what we want to take with us to Montreal Canada so that it just spills out all over the people we meet, and then we’ll let them know where it comes from…Jesus Christ!
