I chose this devotional and the related Bible passage because I have struggled a lot with submitting to my "masters" in the workplace. God has broken me in this area by helping me to see that I am to respect the people I report to even when they don't act respectfully toward me or behave ethically. I am called to respect them so that He (God) might be glorified and they might find my behavior so attractive that they want to know more about the God I serve.
This also applies to being part of a missions team. We are to honor the people that God has entrusted with the leadership of the team. Our work in the market place and in ministry is to be done unto the Lord with humility and a heart of excellence. We should ask God to do that work in us so that we can be useful in his Kingdom work.

Thanks David, for your submissive spirit and heart for the work of the Lord. It is evident in how you serve. Glad you are a part of the team.
