Wow, what a time it has been up here! Although it's hard to say goodbye to the missionary life, as well as the many friends that we've made over the week, it's always a good feeling to come back home.
Today, we had the privilege of worshipping the Lord at the church of Jacques Avakian, and what an amazing time that was! We held an open prayer requests forum, where each team member got together with a member of the church, and simply prayed for them, whatever their needs may be. The church may have been small, but there is no doubt that they have strength in unity!
Afterwards, we were headed home, and are still on the way, stopping only for sleep. Tomorrow, we will be back home with you, our beloved friends and family. Let me speak for all of the team, and say thank you so much for everything you have done for us, whether it be prayer, or donations, or organization, or simply offering words of encouragement. Reading your comments gave us the energy to complete the tasks God set before us. So thank you, all of you, for all that you continue to do. Keep praying that we will return home safely, and pray that God will give us the words to share with you all, as we give our mission report upon our return!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,
ReplyDeleteAs you arise this morning I pray that it's from a restful, revitalizing sleep. We here are praying for your unity in making known the wisdom and mighty deeds of God as you travelthe remaining miles home today. Praising God for His provision for you, especially His provision of spiritual safety woven in His full armor.
Now as you've asked I pray that He give to each of you words to express the work of God you've been so faithful to accomplish in Canada. What a joy awaits us all in that report.
Now may the God of peace Who is the Author and the Giver of peace. Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood, the everlasting agreement strengthen and make you and us what we ought to be daily and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; while He Himself works in us and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ; to Whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen
Dear Mission Team,
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray for safe journey home. You all have really put out so much energy and effort and we know that your lives and the many lives of those in Canada will be forever changed.
God is so good. I know you all made Him Smile.
We sure do look forward to seeing you back here safe and sound!!
Love,
Betty
It's a few minutes after 9am here in beautiful North Carolina. The sun is shining, the sky is incredibly blue. Praising God for the opportunity of life to serve Him with today. Thinking of and praying for each of you now.
ReplyDeleteI can see in my mind's eye the caravan of Mission Quebec on their way back to Father's field here. As you travel I want you to know that I love each of you, those that will be thrust back to Mecklenburg County and those who will be thrust back into Alamance County...may the aroma of Christ be upon each of you leaving a trail as you travel with Him so that others will want to follow our Master too.
The road of holiness. That's the one I want to travel on day in and day out....with you, fellow believers.
STAYING ON THAT ROAD, WASHED IN HIS BLOOD, CLEANED UP, DRESSED UP.........saying speak Lord, I'm listening............SEND ME!
Hey Team! Alex ::::)
