Friday August 7th Final Devotional Thought

God has chosen His team and “blessed” us
and “dressed” us in His Armor for battle
as we have gone to Him in Prayer.
Our hearts and our hands are
ready, willing and able by His Spirit.
"He" is the God of this City!
There is no one like our God!
We are His servants!

When I was at “The Citadel” (1972-1976)
at the end of the Vietnam war era,
we were taught to always have a “battle plan”.
I guess that is the reason, I tend to “over plan” at times.
But as I have grown older physically and spiritually,
I have become “positively flexible”
as God changes my heart to His,
and my plans to His! I still pray, plan, and proceed,
but I always have my eyes, ears, and spirit
open to the Lord’s leading.
I know you all will too!

So let’s get ready to go to “battle” team.
Get dressed daily and be ready to flex when necessary.
Put on each piece with "prayer".
God has our “back” as I heard one brother say recently.
That is why the armor is place in the front
as we advance into “battle”.

Load up Team, It is time to go! And all the tanks are full!
Fully protected, Full of power, Full of peace, Full of His presence!
There is no one like You God!
You are the God of Quebec!

  1. Dear PG,

    YES!

Father, we bow together acknowledging that You have already won the battle. You have given Your Son who has accomplished all you sent Him to do, and as we listen to Him pray in John 17 we know that He has prayed for us, and continues to intercede for us and His prayers are always Your will. Glory to God in the highest! You, our Father, have given us your chosen children, all divine power to continue life's journey, to complete the race, accomplishing Your will. O how we praise You! Open the eyes of this team to see, by faith, THE VICTORY!

By Your Holy and Righteous Love, You have clothed each family member in righteousness. You have woven the fabric of protection that You know is required for protection from Your arch enemy. You are Sovereign and Strong, we are strong in Jesus. We want to look like Him, inside and out.

Help us to see that He kept on, and appropriated daily, the power that You gave Him as He journeyed earth. Help us each to be mindful of the battle that rages, and is led by Satan himself, for our soul, our testimony. Not afraid of him, but divinely fearing You, find us obedient to appropriate daily the full protection You Yourself generously gav to each of us when we were born into Your family. Help us to love You and Your commands by our trusting obedience. Day in and day out.

Especially now Father, grant a continued intense hunger and thirst for righteousness to Garry Baldwin, Cheryl, Anna Grace, and Caleb Baldwin, Kevin Duncan, Brandon Grant, Sydney Hood, Daniel Norris, Gary Pell, Pat Pell, Jeffrey Kissiah, Ervie Pridgen, Adria Ruppe, Jonathan Walker, Bonnie Adams, Alex and Jeff Baldwin, Jim and Joan Cook, Garry Gates, Amanda Gates, Joan Massey, David and Teresa Voth to know You and Your ways for their good and for Your eternal glory. Prepare the way Lord God Almighty, clear the way, the road of holiness, for these to travel in order to proclaim boldly the word of God to each other, to those along the way and in Canada. May there be a harvest that pleases You dear Father. In The Master's Name I ask.

I continue to specifically pray Col. 1:9ff for you PG....and I rejoice as I watch God's grace working in, upon, and through you as you tend and feed His flock thus revealing your agapao love for Him and for His people. I am glad to be in this fold.

I've just printed the prayer guideline, one for me and one for Ed. (As you know Ed prays for you, your family, and Midwood daily and has for a long time.........he will count it joy to pray specifically as this mission trip is launched).

LOVE YOU ALL DEARLY...........and most of all may you be keenly aware personally of His fellowship as He leads you, and as you lead His people.

  2. "...and now, Voyagers," I pray that your trip will be productive, as you lead many people to the Love of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and may your trip be one that freshens you - anew- in the spirit of God and Jesus.

    I do admire all of you so very much;
I certainly do. I shall pray for you each time I think of you, and I am very sure that my prayers will be answered.
